"awful experience at macclesfield district general hospital"

I was admitted for a hysterectomy and post operatively found myself in a bed under a dripping window. My family requested that I be moved on numerous occasions all of which were ignored. I found some of the staff rude and they seemed to be too busy gossiping with each other to help the patients. On one occasion an elderly lady in the bed next to me was given sleeping tablets and left to sleep until late morning when one of the more observant nurses noticed she had been incontinent during the night and had been sleeping in a cold wet bed ever since.

Even though I was in pain I was too scared to ask the staff for help because I had seen how some of them talked about the other patients, laughing about them and, I thought, being mean.

Overall a disgusting experience that I would not wish on my worst enemy.

On top of all this I contracted C. Diff in this hospital.
