"After getting past the wait in A&E, everything was..."

About: James Paget University Hospital

What I liked

Never good to be admitted on Christmas Eve. All the staff had a fantastic attitude and having been admitted twice in the past (May 2010 & January 2006), I genuinely can see the hardwork and improvements made in stopping the dreaded risk of C.Diff & MRSA etc.

The JPUH has had press mention recently re food, and the "red tray" system for those not eating well seemed a genuine effort to give this focus.

What could be improved

Just the very long wait in A&E. I knew what was wrong and regret next time will be tempted to call an ambulance to get fast tracked, as I knew I would need admitting.

Anything else?

The bacon rolls for the staff on Chrsitmas morning were really appreciated by the staff worknig that day and if the management could stretch to do the same on Boxing day, I'm sure it would go a long way.
