I have been ill for 13 years now. My GP says I have ME and nothing can be done (except psychological treatments which I have tried and they failed spectacularly). I sought help from a private doctor who diagnosed me with (treatable) Lyme disease. I have since improved dramatically from this treatment advice but my GP writes this off as coincidence and still fails to accept the diagnosis. My life has been ruined and I spent thousands of pounds on private treatment.
