"Type 1 diabetic Son age 6 care under NGH"

my son is now 6 but was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 3 years old. recently we have had a non stop run of viruses and germs bought home from School. I just wanted to praise 2 paediatric consultants as I feel they go above and beyond they duty - Dr Ackland and Dr A Smith. It's very scary when your small children are unwell but the diabetes adds a whole new dimension of worry, a simple stomach bug fills you with fear. as with most children it's always in the small hours and even when not on duty they always call to talk you through what you should do and advise you and even follow up the day after.

Often people moan about their care but I can hand on my heart say I would not move out of Northampton whilst these 2 dedicated professionals work at NGH. They are amazing and show human kindness above and beyond their role. A big thank you.
