"Needs sorting out"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

What I liked

The professional surgery team

What could be improved

The attitude of some midwives and the cleanliness of ward and especially bathrooms.

Anything else?

I had an emergency csection, the team that did the actual surgery were excellent and talked me through the operation . Afterwards I was left in my blood for 24 hrs. My painkillers never arrived on time. The midwives were very noisy shouting down the hallway to each other at night and the bathrooms were not cleaned often enough and had blood all over the place. To name but a few

complaints.

Thank your or taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you had a mixed experience. You describe a number of areas where we have fallen below our normally high standards of care and treatment for which I would like to apologise. I will pass on your comments to our midwifery management team who will raise the issues with staff.

If you would like to raise your concerns formally I would be grateful if you could contact the Patient Experience Team who would be happy to help, they can be contacted by calling 01227 783145 or 01227 864314 or by email to patientexperience@ekht.nhs.uk

Thanks again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, we very much appreciate it.
