What I liked
I was first diagnosed as needing both hips replacing in July 2011. The way in which I was treated during the first consultation, at the subsequent "Hip Club" and pre-operative screening visit was exemplary with extremely helpful staff who kept waiting to a minimum and were very diligent in protecting patient confidentiality and dignity.
I was admitted on Friday 18 November to Birch Ward for the replacement of the first, right, hip, The operation took place that day and I was discharged on the Monday. Throughout my stay, the care provided was of the highest possible standard and the food was very good. I am now well on the way to a full recovery.
A very big thank you to the Orthopaedic Staff and the Staff and Volunteers on Birch Ward. Thank you also for bearing with me as I gave up smoking after 40 years.
Thank you also to the staff who delivered the aids to our house and the health care team that made periodic check up visits to me at home. Again both provided an absolutely marvellous service.
What could be improved
Nothing
Anything else?
Just an enormous thank you to all involved.
"Absolutely brilliant - congratulations to all..."
