What I liked

The staff on Ward 16 are true Vocational professionals, and their care and concern for patients was exceptional. I can't give them enough credit for making a rather painful operation bearable.

What could be improved

Exterior window ledges , which are made of metal are very loose (room 11) and flap about.

When very windy it is very difficult to sleep and I had to ask for some ear plugs to be brought in.

Also the hinge on the door of this ward needs replacing - it is a very heavy door to open and catches the hinge and bangs every time it is opened/closed .

Anything else?

Spare beds were often filled with post operative patients from other departments - and even though at times the ward was short staffed the level of care never altered. The staff just did that 'extra mile' beyond the call of duty.
