"Very positive"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

What I liked

I attended an outpatient apt for my son with a Paediatrician. He was very thorough, did not rush and involved us in decisions and spent time engaging with both myself and my son.

What could be improved

The apt system as although follow-up appts are booked immediately these are often repeatedly postponed due to changes in clinic days/times. My son's apt was delayed three consequetive times this year.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am pleased to hear that the outpatient appointment for your Son went well and the doctor was engaging.

I am sorry to hear that you have experienced difficulty with the repeated cancelling of follow up appointments. We have focused a lot of effort this year in ensuring that our clinic timings and scheduling are improved so as to reduce the number of times we cancel an appointment. We recognise that we still have some further improvements to make during the early part of 2012, once these have been completed we envisage there being fewer cancellations. I am sorry if the cancellations have caused inconvenience for you or your Son.

Thanks again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, we very much appreciate it.
