"dermatology appointment"

About: Sentinel Healthcare Southwest Community Interest Company / Dermatology (skin)

(as the patient),

I went for a dermatology appointment for my eczema since childbirth. I was given a blood test to test for dust mite, cat dander and nuts. I normally faint at blood tests but the ladies were so lovely (chatting to me and giving me a glass of water) and I had the test, got up and walked away without even feeling dizzy. The doctor took a skin scraping and listened to me; he seemed to have the time to listen to all the details. He prescribed me a long list of creams and reassured me about the use of steroids.

When we got to the Mount Gould centre, it was very confusing to find our way around from the outside. Luckily we met a lovely lady who worked there and directed us but I feel the signs should have been clearer on the outside of the building - I was worried I was going to end up missing my appointment despite setting off early because it took us 15 minutes to find where we were supposed to be going on the site.

Dear Happymum28

Thank you for taking the time to post your opinion. I am pleased to read you were reassured at your appointment and found it helpful. The staff at Mount Gould will receive your feedback so thank you.

In regard to your very relevant point around the signs and directions we have contacted the building manager of the local care centre to feedback your views, thank you again for your opinion.

Best wishes and Merry Christmas
