"Put on the road to recovery"

About: Cambridgeshire PCT / Emergency GP out of hours service Princess Of Wales Hospital

(as the patient),

Had chronic, scoliosis related back pain most awful. Saw GP. Got pills (diazapam). They did zip. Called out of hours service, went to Chesterton, saw Dr, got more pills (still did largely zip due to extreme agony, but service was brill).

Next day, called out of hours again, as pain worsened toward evening. Went to Princess of Wales Hospital, Ely. A GP, henceforth in this house known as the Miracle Worker, who happened to be an acupuncturist and all round bloody hero did his work and I was - amidst much cheering - put on the road to recovery.

Princess of Wales hospital, brill all the way. Just a shame Ely out of hours service doesn't operate all night!
