"Crisis Team [CRHT] at Parklands have helped me in unbelievable ways"

I have had experience with the crisis team based in Basingstoke for nearly a year now. I have come across all negative posts relating to this service on this website so far so felt I would like to put my story forward.

When first put into contact with the team, i was seen within an hour of leaving my local GP. Not knowing what their service was, i had this explained clearly to me on the arrival of the staff member who assessed me. He even went out of his way to collect me a sleeping tablet to allow me some sleep that night, seeing the distress i was in. I was from here, admitted to their services.

Each member of staff I had contact with was outstanding. Very professionally and easy to talk with. They often, when able, were able to match me people that i worked with better when possible and always took the time to let me voice how i was feeling. Even if i couldnt understand my emotions, they could.

Every appointment that was planned at home, was always seen through and my experience with the out of hours service was equally excellent. The reception staff at Parklands were always lovely and if a long line of calls had recently been put through to the team, they would tell me "they make take a few more minutes than normal as they have a high rate of calls, but they will get back to you, so hang on." which was reassuring. The team did always contact me back.

The out of hours staff were equally as helpful over the phone as in person. Having been with the crisis team, they had documents on their system that they would check before ringing me, to see where i was at and what things would benefit me over the phone during a crisis. I always put the phone down having a new plan of action in place and they always let me know to call back if im struggling still.

So after seeing all the negative posts about the Basingstoke team, I hope people see from this, I feel that they do perform the best they can and have helped me in unbelievable ways.
