"Kind care for the dreaded cancer"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I have just undergone a series of tests for prostatic cancer and after these were completed I was seen by Ben the Prostate Nurse Specialist, who in a kind and clear manner explained that I had a very aggressive cancer.

He explained the next steps and started me on treatment straight away. Following a number of scans Ben phoned me and explained that I did not have any secondaries and what my staging was. He also told me what my treatment plan might be and he had already refered me to the Oncology Specialist.

He was kind, thoughtful and encouraging. I was met with kindness and courtesy by all of the staff I met in the Urology Dept. Congratulations KCH!
