"Auntie sent home with cannula inserted"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Trauma and Orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My 80 year old relative was discharged form the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh recently by being put in a taxi, in her nightgown, with no money and a cannula still inserted in the back of her hand.

An off duty nurse kindly went to remove it on their way home.
