"Clinic with no one able to answer questions"

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital

What I liked

Very little

What could be improved

Having the right people available for the appointment so as not to waste time.

Having the standard, routine blood tests done before the appointment (after all you have to wait months) rather then send you away and having to wait 3 months for the results!

Anything else?

Referred for specific reason and when the appointment arrived I queried the relevance of the clinic as it did not relate to the reason I was referred. I was assured it was correct. I was seen by a young woman (no idea of her role) who was nice enough but could not answer a single question I had as it was not her field. There was no one there (and never was) who could answer these questions. I was just told to have standard, routine blood tests and come back in 3 months (!) for the result and when asked if someone would be available to answer my questions was told no.

What was the point of me going there?

This wasted my time, the time of whoever I saw and an appointment for a patient for whom the clinic may have been appropriate. I am where I was back in July when I was referred - needing an appropriate refereal - and of course another wait of 4 months.
