What could be improved
The attitude of the consultant who I was referred to after being poorly for several months was unsympathetic and a times rude. He having a student with him on one occasion and not even bothering to introduce me to the student or to even ask of it ws permissible for the student to sit in on my appointment, I though this rude and ignorant behaviour.
I, following a referral to addenbrookes, have now been given the correct treatment for a pre existing condition which I tried to tell the lister consultant about and was swiftly dismissed and not, I felt taken at all seriously. It turns out that my blood work from the preexisting condition proves that it is due to this that I have been incredible sick for many months. Something that couldve been diagnosed months earlier and prevented me from suffering untreated too. I think sometimes consultants need to actively
Is listen to the patient as the patient is in their own words given the dr a diagnosis, and it is for the dr to actively hear the patient and go from there, and not play some form of deity and decide to ignore what the patient is saying. I felt that the service could be greatly improved by my local hospital. The whole experience really puts me off going into hospital, and unfortunately with my ongoing diagnosed condition, means that I have to attend the hospital quite frequently.
"Unpleasant"
