What I liked
We cannot praise enough the quality, expertise and care of the Consultant and his staff and the staff on ward 33. These people are exceptional in everything they do. Nothing was ever too much trouble to a very short staffed, under paid and over worked group of nurses and doctors. They always treated my husband with dignity and never forgot he was a person in his own right and not just a patient. Rating 110/100
What could be improved
A&E what a complete change, It was dirty with rubbish on the floor in the cubicles. On arrival I was put in a toilet to clean down my husband at both ends, the male nurse gave me some wipes and did not want to know. The toilet had card board boxes stored inside, which I had to move out, in order to get my husband to the toilet, which also needed cleaning as there was faeces on the seat. The light was totally inadequate.
When my husband started to projectile vomit I had to shout for help and nurses started running around for containers to catch it, only then did we get any real attention from the nursing staff. Disgusting! Rating 10/100.
"Excellent apart from the A&E"
