My GP referred me to the respiratory clinic at Gartnavel General Hospital. The time between referral and getting an appointment with a consultant was very reasonable.

I was very impressed by all the staff at the respiratory clinic and at X Ray. I had a meeting with the consultant, Dr MacGregor, and his communication skills were excellent. I learned a lot about my condition and about steps that I could take to help with my condition.

I was referred for a CT Scan and to attend the Pulminary Rehabilitation Clinic - both of which have now been done - again in a very reasonable time scale. The consultant has prescribed new medication which I feel has helped me and he has arranged a follow-up visit for 8 weeks after the initial visit.

I have to say I was very impressed with the organisation of my appointment and with the way in which all the staff treated me - especially Dr MacGregor. I think that the treatment I have received is a credit to the NHS and I'm most grateful for that.
