I feel this is a great idea, but the implementation isn't up to much.
I first contacted Anxiety Uk in September from a support group in South Manchester. I had a email last week from someone who has the great title of peer mentor and Employment Coordinator. This offered me a meeting which I could not get to.
I phoned on Tuesday and left a message. I did not get a call back that day at all so sent an email asking them to call me after work when I was next available. For obvious reasons I did not want to be called at work.
She replied to say that she would 'try to' call me as requested but I got no call.
I am starting to see a pattern here - I feel that no one gives a toss in these so-called 'caring' professions. It's a good job all I suffer from is insomnia and panic attacks and that I am not, for instance, suicidal or I could be dead by now.
I hope someone sees this post and takes some actual action.
