What I liked

I had an operation on my ear. The ward was fine, the staff were great and the consultant kept me well informed before, during and after the op about all possibilities and details. I would highly recommend Shrewsbury. I have not had any experience previously of being in hospital but now I have and having received such good care from the people at Shrewsbury, should I ever need to go in to hospital again I will in no way be as nervous as I was this first time. Thank you too all.

What could be improved

Allowing people who are able bodied to make their own coffee. I think the staff are busy enough.

We aim to provide the highest standard of care for all of our patients, and we are pleased to hear that your experience met your expectations in most respects. Feedback from patients helps us to build on the things that our patients value, and tackle those things that we must improve. This special award is presented every two months at the Trust Board meeting. It celebrates members of staff who go above and beyond what is expected of them to provide high standards of care for patients, or improve the working lives of their colleagues.
