"removal of tumour at Musgrove Park Hospital"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

Again fantastic staff right through from the diagnosis of the tumour to the removal of it. Staff were helpful friendly caring and explained things clearly and the food and ward were great. I was disappointed with the aftercare - either I don’t remember them telling me or they didn't tell me how to care for my wound and signs I should be worried about. Perhaps something written down to refer to when home would be good although doctors were happy to discuss my concerns over the phone so thank you.

Hello,

This story was submitted to Patient Opinion by the Somerset LINk, on behalf of a local patient who has sent us their story as part of our 'Patient Stories' project.

We are keeping a record of all stories that are sent to us, and asking providers to respond to the stories. We will be contacting Musgrove Park hospital and asking them to respond to this patient's story and, in particular, their concerns about aftercare. We know it can be really hard to remember details about aftercare and writing down this sort of information for patients can be more effective than hoping they remember!

Many thanks to the patient, who has taken the time to send in their experience to us.

Best wishes,
