"Tablets given with bare hands"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

(as the patient),

As a NHS patient, I did not like being given tablets that had been held in the bare hand of a nurse rather than a container. A severe reprimand from Ward Sister would have been given in my day!

Hello,

This story was submitted to Patient Opinion by the Somerset LINk, on behalf of a local patient who has sent us their story as part of our 'Patient Stories' project.

We are keeping a record of all stories that are sent to us, and asking providers to respond to the stories. We will be contacting Musgrove Park Hospital and asking them to respond to this story.

Many thanks to the patient, who has taken the time to send in their experience to us.

Best wishes,

Thank you for the feedback about your experience at Musgrove Hopsital. I apologise for your poor experience , this is not common practice in the hospital and your feedback has been forwarded to the ward sisters to be aware.
