I was 6 weeks pregnant, I started to bleed a little on the 6th week. I thought it was either something I ate that might have triggered it. Then it happened again on the next day so I decided to go to my GP. I explained the problem, he was very kind. Sent me for an early scan on the following morning. I then went for my scan which revealed that the baby wasn't in my uterus, so the nurse did an internal scan it then showed the same. So the nurse did a hormone check which she said would be repeated in 48hrs because if it doubles I definitely am pregnant also it means it might be an ectopic...
So on that same evening I got a call from hospital saying that my hormone levels were really high and that I needed to go in the next day at 10am, the nurse was quite helpful. So went in hospital they did another internal scan because sometimes baby is too small to spot, but unfortunately she noticed it in my right tube, I was gutted. But I was releived because my tube might have ruptured and I could have lost my life. So I had a laparoscopy and they removed my right tube and ectopic. I was upset but thank God, it could have been worse. My after care was good the nurses were very supportive. I'm glad my doctor sent me for a scan. My life was saved.
