About: Northwick Park Hospital

What I liked

Our mother has almost no hearing left, but thanks to the nurse practitioner's patient care and gentle touch she can still communicate. He always goes out of his way to help Mum in any way he can. Today, by carefully removing deposit and wax, he restored some of her hearing after 5 months of total deafness!! You cannot put a price on that. We are all sooooo grateful to him and the team in Clinic 10.

What could be improved

If you are treating the hard of hearing may I suggest either a white board with the patient's name or an illuminated board. Doctors and nurses often call out names in a soft voice. Our mother always has to be accompanied otherwise she would sit all day in the waiting area and never hear her name, since she is totally deaf.

Anything else?

I tried to nominate the nurse practitioner in Clinic 10 for an excellence award but there was a problem with your site. I would still like to do this. How do I go about it?

Thank you for your kind comments and helpful suggestions. These will be passed on to the management team for Ear, Nose & Throat Services, as will your request for the Nurse Practitioner in Clinic 10 to be nominated for an excellence award.
