"Disgusting & evil."

About: Sandwell General Hospital

What I liked

My father was at this hospital following a stroke. His treatment and care were appallingly and he was never fed. The care was very poor that he became ill and acquired an infection whilst in hospital which Sandwell deliberately does not check for fear of exposing its disgusting levels of treatment & care. He deteriorated and eventually suffered a heart attack due to starvation and the infection and died. He was only 47. This hospital is a death trap and the staff evil. The staff never wash their hands and have the hygiene levels you’d expect in the middle ages.

What could be improved

I can only recommend that the hospital be closed and the staff including all the incompetent doctors prevented from ever working in health ever again.

Anything else?

The PCT and the people of Sandwell do not deserve the levels of care they receive from the PCT or this hospital. The reason they get away with such despicable care is that it is an area where the people are not educated enough to insist upon their rights and a lot of Indians are treated at the hospital, when they die they are cremated and the evidence destroyed.

Response from Sandwell General Hospital

In was sorry to read these comments and for any failings in our care. Because your posting is anonymous I do not know whether you have made a complaint about your late father's care. If you wish to do do so it will of course be thoroughly investigated. I would specifically reject your accusation that the hospital does not check for infection - this is just not the case. I am also puzzled by your reference to cremation. All unexpected deaths are reported to the Coroner and no burial or cremation can take place until the Coroner is satisfied about the circumstances of the death. This can include a post mortem examination. John Adler, Chief Executive.
