"Excellent maternity care, but itchy sheets at Tameside General"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

The doctors and midwives were excellent and they provided me with excellent care.

The bedsheets caused me to itch.

I thought the car park fees were unacceptable as my son and husband were visiting me three times a day and it cost £10 per day on average.

Thank you for these kind comments which I will forward to the doctors and midwives in the maternity unit. I will pass on the comments about the bed sheets to the relevant department.

We offer special rates for frequent car parking and I will make sure that the maternity staff are aware of the rules.

With every best wish.

Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact Philip Dylak, Director of Nursing at philip.dylak@tgh.nhs.uk
