What I liked

Fantastic home birth team on Sunday October 30th 2011- thank you! Patient, prompt, encouraging, good humoured, professional, mother and baby centred, comfortable with others around, non- intrusive, honest, unfazed. They were well experienced in use of a pool and able to communicate excellently. This is such an important service for the well being of everyone, and for ideal starts in life for babies- please do continue to resource and encourage this brilliant option. I would recommend this option highly to anyone wondering about a safe and medically well supported place of birth.

What could be improved

It was a bit of a pity that the pregnant mother ( booked for a home birth) had to be checked in the hospital on the morning of the birth (shortage of midwives, I understand) it may have slowed the onset of labour.
