What I liked

a&e was the only place on this visit that seemed to put in some effort.

What could be improved

Lack of basic personal care, lack of information, lack of senior doctors at weekends, attitude of staff to busy laughing and joking at the nurses station rather than looking after patients.

Patients lying in bed wet/soiled for long periods of time, staff ignoring patients calling for assisstance, food just placed in front of patients that they are incapable of eating without help. Tea given to patients that is boiling hot.

A total dont care less attitude which to be fair is all the problem of poor management

The poor care at King Georges is nothing to do with money it is basic care that is not being provided, management only care about targets, their budget and staff sickness levels, most of them have no clinical experience they are purely pen pushers earning a large salary for providing this disgraceful level of care I include matrons in this as they are also now just as bad not visible on wards sitting in offices elsewhere filling in paperwork.

Not all staff are bad but in the case of King Georges there are not enough good staff.

The whole structure of how wards are run needs to be changed to focus 100% on the patient because quite foolishly that what I thought a hospitals prime objective was.
