Anything else?

I was originally offered an appointment for surgery on 24th Oct at 7.30am, this was then changed to 12.00 on the same day, this did not cause any problems but was then contacted on the day to be told it had been cancelled due to my surgeon being off sick. I was then told I would get a phone call on the Tuesday confirming whether they could do the surgery on the thurs, when I hadnt received a call on Tuesday I decided to call to see if they could tell me anything, the lady I spoke to was quite abrupt as I was imformed they would call tomorrow to confirm whether they had managed to squeeze me in. Whilst waiting for this call I received another call offering me an appointment for another operation which I am on the waiting list for, for the following Monday (31st), I explained the situation and was given a number to call when I had heard from the William Harvey. I then received a call stating it could not be done on the Thursday but on the following Monday(31st), I made the decision to go for the operation at the William Harvey as the problem is affecting my everyday life!! Big Mistake!! I get a phone call this morning telling me I had been told on the phone and by letter the wrong time to come in so the operation would not be going ahead. Do they not realise how much they upset people? This not only affects me but my husband, who is self employed, who has lost money keep turning away customers so he can take the time off to look after me! My 3 children who are finding it upsetting seeing their mum in tears, or the family members who keep changing their plans to help with child care.
