"Wife taken by ambulance to Frenchay Hospital"

About: Emergency ambulance service (Avon) Frenchay Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My wife suffered a very severe nosebleed which wouldn't stop, so we called an ambulance out to our house at around 3pm. The paramedics too were unable to stop her bleeding, so took her into Frenchay Hospital, where, despite losing a lot of blood, the medical staff were able to stop her nosebleed.

It was quite an alarming situation, but was handled so well, and we were very impressed by the calming atmosphere created by staff, which I think is so important.

Staff were fantastic, from the paramedics who came to our house, to the medical staff who treated my wife at Frenchay Hospital. Absolutely great, can't fault the service at all.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your experience of the NHS. I am glad that the care provided to your wife , by our paramedics, was able to reassure you both in what must thave been a worrying time.
