"End of life care team treating my mother with dignity"

About: Newcastle PCT The Royal Victoria Infirmary

(as a relative),

My mother who was 92 in August was taken into the R.V.I hospital in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne for a water infection.

After a scan, she was diagnosed with cancer in her lung, head and bones.

She is getting care 24/7 and all the people connected with the service have been wonderful, very kind, caring and have treated her with dignity. I would just like to thank them all.

Thank you for taking the trouble to send these kind comments, particularly at such a difficult time in respect of the service and care that your mother has experienced in the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

As an organisation we aspire to the highest standards at all times and are delighted to get such feedback and to know that your mother is getting the care she needs.

Your comments have been passed onto the Director of Nursing who will be greatly encouraged by your kind remarks.
