"Excellent service from start to finish"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford)

What I liked

The excellent service that was provided for my stay in the day ward after having my gall bladder removed. My operation was at 9am and lasted approx 90 mins, the before and after care by all the staff on the ward was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The Consultant came to check on me within hours after the operation and with his caring and funny bed side manner made me feel at ease. The staff were exceptionally good and were constantly running around providing the best care i have ever had in a hospital (not that i have had much experience in hospitals) but i do feel very reassured that if i have to stay in a hospital again then the princess royal would be my first choice. Thankyou once again for your excellent service.

What could be improved

nothing, everything was exceptionally good

Anything else?

I dont think that the staff get enough credit for the hard work and long hours that they put in. I can only speak from my personal experience and cannot fault any of those "angels" that work there.

Thank you for your comments about the care you received from the day surgery services at the Princess Royal Hospital.

We aim to provide the highest standard of care for all of our patients, and we are pleased to hear that your experience met your expectations. Feedback from patients helps us to build on the things that our patients value, and tackle those things that we must improve. Your comments have been sent to the day surgery unit to help them do this.

If you think that a member of staff deserves special praise and recognition then please consider nominating them for Chairman's Award. This special award is presented every two months at the Trust Board meeting. It celebrates members of staff who go above and beyond what is expected of them to provide high standards of care for patients, or improve the working lives of their colleagues. More information is available from our website at http://www.sath.nhs.uk/about-us/chairmansaward.aspx

Please note that the NHS Choices website does not share your contact details with the Trust so we are not able to contact you directly.

Thanks again for taking the time and trouble to provide feedback about your care.
