What I liked

Exceptionally high caring and professional skills.

Pre op and theatre staff were excellent.

Precautions to avoid infection were excellent.

Post op care was very good.

What could be improved

Nursing staff responded quickly and efficiently to requests for help.

However they were so busy that there was no time for a little bit of unrequested TLC - this isn't one of their tick boxes.

Perhaps it should be, but it would be better if there was just a little bit of spare time budgetted for TLC.

Anything else?

Pain relief was prescribed every 6 hours but was dispensed at 9.30pm and next at 8.30am.

I was uncomfortable from 6am to 8.30am

I lodged this comment with the ward before leaving.
