What I liked
Ward 2. The staff worked together well and their opinions on my Dad's were sound and logical.
What could be improved
My Dad is currently on Ward 4. He started there and then got moved to Ward 2 ready for discharge. He then got moved back to Ward 4. He is frail, elderly, in his final stage of life and has had several medical problems whilst in hospital. He has been in hospital about 6 weeks and keeps getting moved on Ward 4. We think the total moves are 6 including going to Ward 2. Is this really acceptable?
Ward 4 and Ward 2 say different things about where my Dad should be. Ward 4 say that he should be in a nursing home; however Ward 2 say that he should be in hospital.. We think that he has gone past the stage of being safe to move to a nursing home. How can Wards be saying totally different things?
Anything else?
Are the bed moves to do with meeting targets?
What happened to meeting the needs of patients?
Coomunication on Ward 4 is poor. My Dad had a funny turn and we weren't told about it.
Staff on Ward 4 are never about to talk to. They were on Ward 2.
"Stressful because of what I have stated above."
