About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

What I liked

Birch Ward was suburb the staff could not do enough very caring and very hard working, very well organised. would recomend this hospital.

What could be improved

I feel Doctors should wear gloves when taking bloods I realise this is to protect themselves but also i feel its protecting the patient. More drop off and picking up parking after someone has had op and cant walk its a problem to get outside.

We are very pleased to hear about your positive experience and care on Birch ward. We will share your comments with the staff on the ward who contributed to your experience. All staff are encouraged to wear gloves when taking blood, and as you quite rightly point out, this is for the protection of the staff member. We will continue to ensure that staff are warned of the risks involved and the need for personal protective equipment.

We take all suggestions for improvement seriously and I would encourage you to contact the Patient Advice Liaison Service on telephone 01480 428964 or by email to pals@hinchingbrooke.nhs.uk, where your suggested improvements can be discussed further to improve services for our patients.
