"Anything but prompt Physiotherapy referral"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Have just had a letter .... "Following your initial assessment we are now able to offer you a Physiotherapy appointment". My first appointment was on at the end of June - an initial assessment has taken 115 days here.

This is Careplus Physiotherapy, Rotherham

As part of my role, I support clinical services who undertake patient and public involvement on behalf of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust which helps us to develop or redesign our services with patients in mind, from the valuable feedback we are given.

Dear coffeeman

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your comments on Patient Opinion. We are concerned to learn that you have waited this length of time to be contacted regarding your Careplus Physiotherapy appointment.

We do try hard to provide a quality, responsive and timely service to all our patients and on this occasion it would appear that we have fallen short of the high standards we set. We would very much like to be able to help you and should be grateful if you would contact either Lorraine Andrews, Outpatient Manager, Therapy Services , on 01709 427049 or Jane Brown, Lead Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Practitioner, Careplus Physiotherapy on 01709 424402 to discuss this further.

The Trust has communicated directly with the author in order to address his concerns. We appreciate all feedback that gives us the opportunity to review our services.

With best wishes,
