"Staff amazing. Work needed on privacy and dignity"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

What I liked

I attended X - ray department. Staff were very friendly and gave clear instructions on what I needed to day and gave me time.

What could be improved

The gown I had to wear was extremly revelling partly down to it being about five size to big. Having to walk over to the x ray room in this was very embarrassing, due to walking past and area were numerous people were sat.

This is not the staffs fault, they work the best with what they are given.

I would suggest that they move the seating area to where the changing area is, then people would not have to walk past it.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience and I am sorry I am replying so long afterwards but we have just recently developed our systems fro replying to postings here on Patient Opinion. It was good to hear about the caring and supportive staff - but I am sorry for your embarrassment and the indignity of having to walk past other patients whilst wearing a gown. Humorous 'Get Well' cards often poke fun at the hospital gown but it is no joke if you are the one wearing it under these circumstances and I would like to sincerely apologise. I have passed your comments onto our diagnostic lead and asked that the gowns and processes within the department be checked over. Thank you again and please be assured that although late, your story has been listened to.
