I took my father in law for a GP appointment today. We were new to the practice. There had been a mix up and he had missed his appointment and the GP had left the surgery. As I had taken time off work to take father I resigned myself to having to rebook. However the receptionist asked us to wait while she enquired about the situation. Within a matter of minutes we were seen by another GP at the practice. As my father in law is very frail and anxious this made such a difference. The GP was extremely pleasant and took time to listen to us. We then attended the pharmacy and again was treated with the utmost respect and service with a smile.
