"my right foot"

About: Raigmore Hospital

(as the patient),

Injured right foot in early 2010. Seen at hospital, possible neuroma, had steroid injection. This was 2nd injection, had one previously from own GP.

Back few weeks later to hospital, possible neuroma shrinking. But still in pain, back for more tests, not neuroma but possible lesion? More tests, not lesion probably gout. Told to go to own GP for blood tests and that "you will get tablets".

Went to own GP, told it was not gout. Saw podiatrist, had another steroid injection ( had 4 now in total ). Podiatrist said great toe and 2nd toe need seen to ( 2nd toe crossing over great toe ). Have asked to be seen at different hospital and am waiting (to wait 12 weeks ) to be seen by foot and ankle specialist.

Meantime trying not to weight bear on foot as its painful and a lot of hard skin is developing under metatarsal head area of foot and, when wearing shoes, top of toe rubs on shoe due to position of toe.

Update posted by footpain2 (the patient)

Recently saw a foot & ankle specialist in Edinburgh. X-ray taken of right foot while weight bearing. Have tear in tendon, a dislocated 2nd toe and a bunion that will require the big toe to be re-aligned. On waiting list so my foot will after all this time be sorted..
