"I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of care."

About: Watford General Hospital

What I liked

I was admitted as an emergency on a Saturday evening. I was very apprehensive about this but these fears were unfounded. I have an existing neurological condition and the staff quickly made contact with The National in London to determine the next step. I was quickly given a CT scan and then a lumbar puncture and then the staff worked to try and reduce the terrible pain I was in. They tried various treatments until a solution was found.

I was admitted to the Purple suite for 5 days and the care here was also excellent. The staff although busy were always available and happy to help if I needed assistance which was reassuring as I was in a single room a little way down the corridor which could have been isolating.

What could be improved

Nothing that I can think of.

Anything else?

Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your feedback. The importance of a wholly positive patient experience is one of the Trust’s key objectives. Your comments have been passed onto the staff who were responsible for your care.
