"A fantastic first-time hospital experience."

What I liked

My visit to Leighton was brilliant. I'd stayed in the urology department with a kidney infection for 3 days and the service which they offered was the best. I was a little worried as it was my first ever hospital trip, but after my experience I will never be worried to go there again. The staff are amazing, friendly and chatty and I was made to feel at home. I'm a fussy eater but the food which they offered was superb, I was actually gutted I was sent home before dinner time! I was always made clear on what my blood tests were for, and any other medication I required. The staff, both nurses and healthcare assistants, were great and showed a tightly knitted communication between eachother and the patients. Blood pressure and temperature checks were consistant throughout the day. I was extremely happy with what the hospital did for me and i'm now home and on the mend.

What could be improved

I found very little could be improved there. The showers however were pretty bad as they leak everywhere and you have to put loads of towels down (which was especially hard seeing as i was hobbling with a poorly kidney), but other than that, no problems for me.
