"doctors and nurses in ward 13 were perfect but..."

What I liked

My partner had surgery for an appendicitis, he ended up having to stay in the hospital for almost two weeks because he had an abscess as well. He was on ward 13 and he said the nurses were extremely nice and hard working. We both really appreciate the level of care by the nurses at this hospital and this ward in particular.

What could be improved

I feel as if the accident and emergency services and urgent care centre should have recognized my partners symptoms earlier. We went to there four times and they misdiagnosed him before they finally admitted him for surgery. In addition we didn't feel as if they doctors believed us when we told them that my partner had a fever of 39.6. The doctor actually had the audacity to ask him if he was sure he took his temperature correctly (as if a digital thermometer with one button is hard to operate). I am really not impressed with the accident and emergency services or urgent care.
