"Update on my wife's depression"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as a relative),

This is the second time I have posted - I posted 2 years ago and sadly feel I have to post again as I feel nothing has improved in those two years.

My wife had a further bout of depression and was seen by several staff at the mental health trust.

She was on CPA which I thought might improve matters but sadly this was not so. At her care reviews key members of staff who were treating her were not invited, no reports from them were requested as far as I'm aware so the whole care review was a waste of time in our opinion as no-one knew what was happening. Now we have accidentaly found out that she has been taken off CPA but this was not mentioned at her last review, she was not consulted about this and now we have no idea what is happening about her care. I feel she has been treated with a complete lack of respect and what happened to patient involvement?

She has been treated by some lovely, caring staff, particularly her psychiatrist but I feel they and the trust have been let down by the attitudes of other members of staff in this trust.

I have just been alerted by Patient Opinion of the difficulties you and your wife have been experiencing and I am really sorry that our service fell short of the standards we would expect.

We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. I would appreciate it if you would be willing to contact the service manager if you and your wife are happy for me to put you in touch with them if you can provide me with some more details. Please contact me on 01529-222265 so that we can discuss any further actions we may take to alleviate your concerns.

I would also like to take the opportunity of thanking you for the positive comments you have made regarding your wife's psychiatrist and other members of staff.
