What I liked

reception staff were friendly helpful & the wait to be seen by a nurse was fairly quick ( around an hour )

What could be improved

waiting time, this is the 2nd time i've visited hillingdons A & E and have been left waiting for hours and hours to see a doctor,with no idea of when id be seen. on the last occasion i ended up going to wexham park and being seen & treated in just over an hour. even a computer screen with your name a place in line would at least give you some idea of what happening.

After talking to reception then being sent around to the nurse i was informed i was next but seeing as a doctor hadn't called anyone for hours so who knows how much longer it would have been. fortunately my wounds stopped bleeding so i went home to bed rather than waiting to see if i needed stitches.

This appeared to be a very quiet night so i really cant imagine how they'd cope on a busy night.

Anything else?

maybe consider getting more staff, i'm sure the doctors and nurses aren't sitting around drinking coffee, i'm aware that cuts are a minor thing to deal with & there are many more people waiting to see a doctor with more serious problems but it quite clear there not enough of them to go around if your waiting over 2 hours for something that could be dealt with quickly.

I am very sorry to hear that your experience in the A&E Department was not of a standard that we expect to deliver to our patients. I will pass your comments on to the A&E team as we treat all feedback seriously. I do hope that if you require our services in the future then you have a more positive experience.
