"Very positive experience of Accident and Emergency"

What I liked

I attended A&E with my two year old Son on 3 September 2011 who was seen very promptly on arrival. The paediatric nurses were very welcoming and professional, providing reassurance to my son in an unfamiliar environment. He was assessed very quickly by a doctor who undertook a thorough examination whilst engaging with my son and explaining what she planned to do before each assessment. The doctor organised blood tests, which were traumatic for my son, but fully appreciate they had to be done. The doctor contacted me by telephone with the results within two hours (all normal) to prevent having to wait around in A&E.

What could be improved

I have no concerns regarding any aspect of the visit to A&E.
