About: Watford General Hospital

What could be improved

My wife is 7 months pregnant and we attended for our an appointment as our baby has a complex heart condition.

Watford lost all our paperwork ie. copies of every letter with details of the heart condition. These letters were with the white notes and were the copies from Queen Charlottes were the centre for fetal development has been involved and seeing us each month for fetal cardiac scans and growth scans. The baby has life threatening heart complications.

We pointed out the letters when with the records and in the space of the appointment they lose / given them to another patient.

We now have essentially empty white records and no details of babies conditions.

If my wife goes in to labour, any attending medic would have no data available on the baby's TGA, pulmonary stenosis and VSD.

This is grossly negligent and the hospital is doing nothing about it.
