What I liked
We were in England on holiday when my husband had a medical emergency. Everyone, from the ambulance crew to the hospital staff, treated us with dignity and kindness. We had more time with the doctor involved with his care than we would have had with our regular doctors at home. The doctor explained everything clearly and made recommendations based on the length of time we would be in the UK. He was extremely considerate. The nurses who provided most of the care my husband received were helpful, gentle, and kind. We were never left alone for long, and when the heart monitor began to beep, the nurse nearest our door rushed in to see what was wrong, even though she was not the one with primary responsibility in our case. She just saw a need and attended to it promptly. We were given clear instructions for follow-up care and urged to return if there was any further problem. We regard our experience with this hospital as an example of the best that is available anywhere. We'd love to think we could get such good care at home.
"We had an excellent experience and are thoroughly..."
