What I liked

Nothing. I was told that the consultant I was seeing was the No 1 epileptologist in the North West. He turned out to be arrogant, failed to listen to me, had not read the detailed case history I had sent him prior to my visit and spent less than 10 minutes with me before failing to offer a diagnosis.

Nearly a year on and after 2 further meetings he has still not offered a diagnosis, which has left me at the point where I feel I have no choice but to make a formal complaint to the hospital and the GMC as this Doctor is not qualified to run a Neurosciences Unit.

What could be improved

Punctuality, the clinic was running nearly an hour late. The Doctor could have prepared for the consultation by reading the material I had sent him. He could also lose the arrogant, know it all attitude.

Anything else?

Get a different Doctor to run the Epilepsy clinic.
