My 82 year old mother fractured her wrist on a Sunday evening. The treatment we recieved at A& E was caring and not condecending(as some people can be towards the older generation.
The following morning we were at the fracture clinic for a manipulation which was carried out by a young doctor in his second year and Kevin a nurse. They also were very kind (and Kevin proved to be each time we saw him afterwards) and they worked well as a team.
Unfortunately we had to return on the Wednesday as the plaster was tight on the hand, but we were offered a cup of tea whilst mum was seen to.
We were back the following week for an x ray and mum was pleased that Opal tidied up her plaster, as she remembered her from last time she fractured her wrist.
