"wonderful care, no more fears of hospitals"

What I liked

Great pre operative care from the clinic. The staff on Alstone ward were very friendly helpful and caring. I felt I was in good hands throughout my stay for a knee replacement. The ward was very clean and I was pleased to see the staff using the gel at the end of the beds to clean their hands, I had been concerned about these things before coming into the hospital due to the media reporting awful stories about patients getting infections. I have no complaints about the nursing staff or the doctors who cared for me.

Anything else?

The media should be supporting NHS staff not scaremongering about bad treatment and dirty hospitals. I was very scared about going into hospital due to all of this bad press but would now try to tell other people there is nothing to worry about. I heard other patients complaining about silly things and the staff are having to deal with a lot of abuse which I feel is all to do with the media only reporting the bad things.
