What I liked

The level of care that I recieved from all members of the maternity team was of the highest quality. The hospital environment was clean and well cared for. I was very well looked after.

What could be improved

The level of advice received over the telephone whilst in labour. I felt that people were fairly dismissive of me over the phone just because I was able to chat to them (just about).

Anything else?

I was incredibly impressed with the care and treatment i received during my labour and birth at Wansbeck General Hospital.

On behalf of the midwives and staff at WGH I would like to thank you for your positive comments about your recent experiences whilst giving birth at Wansbeck.

Your comments will be shared with all of the staff involved to ensure that your thanks are passed on.

As a service we always appreciate feedback from patients so that we can review practice in order to continue to provide a high quality care, therefore your comments about the telephone conversation that took place prior to your admission will also be shared to raise awareness amongst staff and improve this aspect of care for other women.
